Government College Quepem offers 3 years undergraduate program in Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) affiliated to Goa University. Students who have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) examination conducted by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education in Commerce / Vocational stream or equivalent course subject to terms and conditions laid down by Goa University are eligible to offer the course. The course is spread across six semesters through a varied combination of subjects consisting of Business Communication, Business Environment, Economics, Business Law, Financial Accounting, Auditing, Taxation, Distribution & Retail Management, E-accounting, along with English, Geography, Mathematics, Statistical Techniques, Information technology, Environmental Studies etc. One project paper has to be offered across semester V and VI. The Department of Commerce conducts a variety of Short Term Certificate Courses like Training for CAT, E-Accounting etc. under the auspices of Graduate Plus with the sole purpose of enhancing the skill and competence of the students.
The Department also offers a career oriented UGC Sponsored E-Accounting Course for students of B.Com. Semester I. Number of seats available is 20 and the course fee is Rs. 1000/-.
Bachelor of Commerce course is offered in many different disciplines to train candidates in a particular field.
